Location: Washington, DC

United States Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04), House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (OH-04) and Representative Greg Steube (FL-17) today introduced the One Agency Act which would consolidate the federal government's antitrust enforcement authority from the two federal agencies which currently share jurisdiction--the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice--into one: the Department of Justice.

"The One Agency Act will improve the federal government's ability to police anticompetitive behavior by Big Tech and other major corporations by consolidating antitrust jurisdiction into one agency--clarifying this jurisdiction and increasing accountability," Johnson said. "Our federal government would benefit from more legislation like this to streamline the roles of our federal agencies so they can operate more effectively on behalf of the American people."
